Daniel Tupou has called time on his NRL career just days after the Sydney Roosters lifted the premiership trophy. The winger departs the competition as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never played for another NRL club.

The Roosters described themselves as "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, making him one of the most loyal one-club players in the competition's modern era.
