Latest News About Huge 1,600-pound great white shark tracked to Newfoundland

OCEARCH reported that Contender, the biggest great white shark tracked in the program at 1,600 pounds, has entered Newfoundland waters. This is the first instance a tagged shark from the program has moved into those waters. Contender is the biggest shark OCEARCH has tagged on record.

Separately, a surfer was attacked by a shark at Glenfield Beach in Western Australia. Shark attack survivor Leah Stewart recalled "My heart stopped" as she gave new information about the encounter. Scientists also detailed discovering the world's largest shark.
